Hayley Kirby - Library Manager

At Hamble Community Sports College the Library (LRC) is a key focal point for students in both Key Stages 3 and 4.  There is a huge emphasis on reading in all curriculum areas and we have implemented the Accelerated Reader Advantage reading scheme to support our students in Key Stage 3.  This scheme not only gives us valuable guidance on reading ages but clearly promotes reading for pleasure and enjoyment.

We have hosted many successful author events and our students have been able to meet some of their favourite authors.  These events continue to support our ‘reading for pleasure’ message.  In addition, we hold regular competitions for all students to take part in.

Homework Club
