Correspondence and Complaints Procedure

It is hoped that all parents and others who have concerns about the college curriculum and other related matters will in the first instance, contact the college, in order that any concerns may be discussed informally. The college complaints procedure is in line with Hampshire County Council’s policy and is available from college reception.

There are many documents concerned with recent educational legislation that are available for parents to see. Also available are department handbooks, any Schemes of Work currently used by teachers in the college and any syllabus used for GCSE.
Public access to any of the above is allowed at all reasonable times. Please contact the college office so appropriate arrangements can be made.

Complaints in relation to the curriculum and related matters are dealt with through the arrangements outlined in the college prospectus. At Hamble Community Sports College, we seek to go further than required by statute and are committed to providing a ‘quality’ service to all our clients and users.

In relation to matters appertaining to discipline and admissions, reference should be made to the college policies on ‘exclusions’, ‘Admissions’ and ‘Discipline’, although the Hampshire County Council procedure may be applicable.

Purpose
The parent, student, staff or community member complaining has an easy accessible, straightforward means of making representations to us which offers prompt action and a speedy resolution.

All complainants are confident that their complaint is being dealt with effectively and fairly even if the outcome is not to their satisfaction

We at Hamble Community Sports College use complaints positively and take subsequent action to maintain and improve service quality and responsiveness

The right to complain is considered to be very important at Hamble Community Sports College
